Marketing Manager

Location: Washington

Employment Type: w2, full-time, exempt

Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 DOE, PLUS BENEFITS

We are looking for a Marketing Manager who leads with strategy and executes with precision. This is not a purely strategic role, nor is it purely executional. The right person moves fluidly between building the campaign plan and doing the work to make it happen, reviewing the data and writing the brief, managing the content calendar, and managing the people on it.

You will own marketing campaign development, content operations, and a small team of contractors, including an email marketer, a podcast producer, an audio engineer, and a video editor. You will propose campaigns that meet leadership goals, develop briefs that enable execution, review performance data to inform what comes next, and ensure the team delivers on time and to standard.

You will work closely with the Brand Director and report into a collaborative, founder-led environment. Comfort working directly with a founder and CEO, adapting to their vision, and translating high-level goals into actionable marketing plans is essential to success in this role.

Campaign Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns across email, social media, website, paid ads, and podcast platforms to drive audience growth and program enrollment
  • Translate company goals into campaign strategy, establish clear KPIs, and lead execution across all active channels
  • Propose campaigns proactively to meet leadership objectives, not just respond to them
  • Write or direct marketing copy for landing pages, campaign launches, and sponsored content
  • Oversee website updates and marketing landing pages to support active campaigns and conversion goals

Content Operations & Calendar Management
  • Own the content calendar end-to-end, including planning, scheduling, approvals, and brand compliance
  • Build detailed campaign briefs for contractors and contributors that communicate objectives, deliverables, timelines, and creative direction clearly
  • Manage production workflow across email, social, podcast, video, and audio to keep deliverables on track
  • Stay current on content trends and platform best practices, assigning content that aligns with campaign strategy

Data & Reporting
  • Deliver regular marketing performance reports, analyzing campaign and channel results against KPIs
  • Measure success across every stage of the customer journey, from top-of-funnel awareness through conversion and retention
  • Use data to identify what is working, what is not, and what to do about it
  • Bring forward recommendations, not just recaps

Team & Contractor Management
  • Manage a small team of contractors, including an email marketer, podcast producer, audio engineer, and video editor
  • Set clear expectations, review work, provide feedback, and hold the team accountable to timelines and quality standards
  • Identify gaps in capacity or capability and escalate to leadership with a recommended path forward

Within 3–6 months:
  • Multiple pieces of content consistently reaching 250K+ views
  • Measurable, sustained growth across all organic platforms
  • A clear, measurable lift in enrollment and revenue tied directly to your campaigns
  • Increased inbound PR, collaborations, and partnership opportunities for HFK

If you cannot visualize how to get there, this role is not for you.

$120,000 to $130,000 DOE

This role is built for someone who wants to grow with us, not just fill a seat. At Her First $100K, the Marketing Manager owns the strategy and execution behind growing our revenue and audience, and as the company scales, so does their compensation.

We're a small, lean team of 5 employees with brought on for specific projects, so there isn't room to hide in this role. Every contribution is visible, and every result matters. In exchange, we offer compensation above market for a company of our size and revenue, along with a strong benefits package.

Please note that we do not currently accept counter-offers to the salaries stated in our job listings for this role, set at $120,000 to $130,000. There is, however, room for growth within the first year of employment.

Total compensation also includes:
  • 85-100% employer paid health insurance premiums
  • 401(k) with a 4% company match
  • Unlimited paid leave for vacation, sick, menstruation, bereavement, and your birthday
  • 4 months of fully paid parental leave for birth, adoption, or surrogacy
  • 11 paid federal holidays plus 2 floating holidays each year
  • 20+ days of company-wide breaks throughout the year, separate from PTO
  • Remote work stipend for tech and home office setup

Someone who can operate at the strategic level and execute at the detail level without losing altitude in either direction. You are a confident, efficient communicator, clear in writing, direct in feedback, and responsive in pace. You do not wait for a brief to tell you what the company needs. You read the goals, you build the plan, you assign the work, and you follow it through.

You are also comfortable in a founder-led environment. You can take a vision that is still forming, ask the right questions, and turn it into a plan the team can execute. You know how to communicate up clearly and create structure around ambiguity.

Specifically, you bring:
  • Proven experience leading multi-channel marketing campaigns from strategy through execution
  • Strong instincts for messaging, positioning, and what converts across digital channels
  • Experience managing contractors or a small team, with a track record of clear direction and accountable follow-through
  • Comfort with data, including reading campaign performance, identifying trends, and translating findings into action
  • Excellent written communication, you write briefs, recaps, and copy that others can work from without clarification
  • Experience working closely with a founder or CEO in a fast-moving, content-driven environment
  • Familiarity with email, social, podcast, and paid ad channels at a working level
  • Required technical experience: Showit & WordPress, you will be expected to manage and update web properties directly
  • Preferred tools & platforms: Kajabi, ClickUp, Airtable, Slack, Google Workspace

If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply!
