There’s nothing more fun than a job interview, right?

The actual interview is only half the battle — showing up prepared, knocking their socks off, and following up like a pro is key for landing that dream job. Here’s your checklist for killing it.

Before:

1. Explore the company website

2. Practice answering common questions with a friend

3. Analyze Glassdoor reviews

4. Put together a 90-day action plan

5. Prep your response questions

6. Articulate your unique story

7. Look up your interviewers on LinkedIn (and see if you have a mutual connection!)

8. Review the job description and format your experience around it

9. Compile your portfolio and other support documents

10. Send a confirmation email

11. Set your outfit out (and iron it!)

12. Get a good night’s sleep

13. Eat something light

14. Power Pose in the bathroom

15. Ask for a glass of water before your interview

During:

1. Speak slowly and deliberately

2. Avoid speaking poorly of your former employer

3. Don’t get flustered when discussing money

4. Smile and make eye contact

After:

1. Send a handwritten thank-you note

2. Reach out to employees and ask questions about the work culture

3. Breathe! You’ve got this.
